Prayer Meeting on Wednesdays at 7pm

From its inception on the Day of Pentecost, the church has been identified and made progress in reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in proportion to its being on its knees. It has never been Biblically identified by its programs or ministries, but by its commitment to prayer, the preaching of the God's Word, the breaking of bread together, and the fellowship of its people (Acts 2:41-47).

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers.
— Acts 2:42

Today's emphasis seems to be on worship and fellowship. The expository preaching of God's Word has certainly fallen on hard times with “needs oriented” topical preaching...and the gathering of God's people on their knees has almost disappeared. Our desire is to be faithful to the example of the early church and gather together for prayer on a regular basis.

For that purpose we have chosen to set aside Wednesday evenings at 7pm for prayer. We invite you to join us in “holding the ropes” for our missionaries and in lifting up the needs of our local body and community to the Lord in prayer.
